Overview
Supplier imports save time when your vendors already exist in another system. Review each supplier's ordering details after import; a vendor record alone is not a complete ordering setup.
Import from a connected system
- Select the destination business unit and open Suppliers > Add Supplier.
- Choose the available import source. The list depends on your connected systems and business-unit type.
- Select the vendors you actually want in this unit.
- Review the supplier's name, currency, and contact details. Supply a missing order-recipient or confirmation-sender address when needed.
- Choose the ordering workflow and complete the import.
For Procure to Produce, use Import suppliers from ERP to retain the ERP vendor mapping needed for purchasing. A manually created supplier may still need that mapping before its PO can sync.
Import from a spreadsheet
Use the template offered by the supplier-import form. Keep its column headings, put one supplier record on each row, and review contacts before submitting. Do not upload a general address book and assume LineNow can determine which addresses accept POs.
Manage relationship access
- Open the supplier's access-management action.
- Choose the permitted teammates who should work with this relationship.
- Review any existing relationship manager before removing access.
- Save and check the teammate's business-unit role as well.
If a vendor is missing from the import
Check the connection, selected provider account, vendor availability, and business unit. Not every provider exposes the same supplier data. Add the supplier manually if appropriate, then complete any mapping the connected workflow requires.
If an import would create duplicates
Compare the existing supplier name, contact, and source mapping first. Use the available connection or mapping action for an existing relationship rather than creating a second relationship just to fix a missing mapping.
