Overview
POS import rules help direct which products belong in a business unit and which supplier or fulfillment mapping they should use. Rule fields differ by provider.
Create a rule
- Open the import-rules action in the relevant Items workflow.
- Choose the POS system.
- Select the available product criteria, such as vendor, tags, product type, category, brand, manufacturer, or supplier.
- Choose the destination business unit, supplier, and fulfillment location requested by that rule.
- Review the criteria and save.
For provider-specific options such as excluding bundles or selecting products that continue selling, read the label before applying the condition. A Shopify criterion is not automatically available for another provider.
Review existing rules
Use the Existing Rules panel to compare criteria and destinations. Review overlapping rules so similarly named products are not directed into the wrong purchasing workflow.
Use bulk editing
Select the intended rules and choose Bulk edit where offered. Check the selected set and proposed destination values before saving. Updating several rules is different from correcting one product mapping.
Verify the result
Review the affected import selection and representative products after the rule applies through the supported workflow. Check supplier assignment, purchasing pack, business unit, and fulfillment mapping rather than relying on a rule's name alone.
If a product goes to the wrong place
Check provider account, product attributes, rule criteria, destination unit, and supplier. Correct the rule and review existing item mappings separately; changing a rule is not proof that all previously imported records were remapped.
