Overview
Quote Requests help you source items from one or more suppliers before purchasing. Each supplier has a separate conversation, while you compare their offers side by side.
Create an RFQ
- Open Quote Requests in the business unit and choose Create RFQ.
- Enter the requested items, including names, pack or size details, estimated quantities, and purchasing cadence.
- Add the suppliers and contact details that should receive the request.
- Check all item and supplier rows, then choose Send RFQ.
Review responses
Compare offered products, currency, base price, MOQ, pricing tiers, quantity, fulfillment information, and supplier notes. Open the supplier conversation when you need clarification. If an offer arrives through another channel, use the manual-quote action to record it against the appropriate supplier response.
Accept an offer
- Choose the offer and pricing option you want.
- Read the Accept quote? preview.
- Check whether acceptance will Update existing item or Create new item.
- Review the selected tier, price, MOQ, and item identity, then confirm.
- Review the resulting supplier item before adding it to an order.
Accepting a quote establishes or updates the purchasing item. Do not treat it as confirmation that a supplier purchase order has already been placed.
Manage requests over time
Use the available draft-editing, resend, close, or cancel actions as appropriate. The status distinguishes requests waiting for replies, comparing offers, accepted offers, unavailable responses, and overdue work.
If acceptance would update the wrong item
Stop at the preview and verify the supplier, SKU, pack, and requested item. Resolve the match before confirming. Supplier discussions remain separate, so send each clarification in the correct supplier thread.
