Overview
In retail and dropship units, a product is what you sell, while a procurement item is what you buy. Mapping connects those records so LineNow can relate purchases, sales, and supported inventory sync.
Review unlinked products
- Select the retail or dropship business unit.
- Open Items and look for unlinked products or procurement variants.
- Open the linking action for the item.
- Select the correct POS provider, location, product, and variant.
- Review the purchasing pack and save the mapping.
Match the actual product variant, not just the closest product name. Size, SKU, and pack information help distinguish similar items.
Publish to a POS
Where supported, the publish action creates or publishes the selected item information in the chosen provider. Read the destination and proposed data before confirming. If the provider already has the product, link to it instead of publishing a duplicate.
Use bulk actions carefully
Bulk linking or publishing can speed up large catalogs. Review every proposed match, especially items with similar names or multiple pack formats. Resolve unmatched rows before treating the catalog as fully connected.
Why the controls are unavailable
These actions require an appropriate business-unit type, Procurement access, and a supported connection. Procure to Produce uses ERP-owned material mappings, so the retail POS-linking workflow does not apply.
If sales or inventory do not match
Check the business unit, provider location, product variant, and purchasing conversion. Review the relevant POS-sync settings in Business Units. Reconnecting a provider does not automatically repair an incorrect product mapping.
