Overview
The accounting handoff sends supported order documents to the connected accounting company. Review the supplier, items, totals, and provider mappings before sending.
Prepare the connection
- Connect the accounting provider from Home.
- Check the company you authorized and selected for use.
- Complete the supplier and item mappings needed by that provider.
- Review the order's source invoice and corrections before starting the handoff.
Send the document
- Open the purchase order and its accounting action.
- Select the available destination and document options.
- Review supplier or vendor, item mappings, location, taxes, currency, dates, and totals requested in the dialog.
- Resolve the listed missing mappings or invalid fields.
- Confirm the send and inspect the reported result.
The dialog can offer different options for QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite, or Moon Invoice. Use the fields and result shown for the selected provider rather than assuming every destination supports the same document type.
After sending
Use the provider link or document reference where available and check the record in the accounting company. A successful accounting handoff does not mean the supplier was paid or that inventory was physically received.
If the order is still pending accounting
Read the displayed issue. Check the connected company, supplier and item mappings, tax treatment, and provider permissions. Use the accounting-pending filter to find work that remains unresolved.
Before trying again
Check whether the provider already has the document. Resolve the reported issue before repeating the send so an uncertain result does not create duplicate accounting records.
