Overview
Transfers move stock between business units. The destination requests and receives stock; the source reviews, fulfills, and ships it. Transfer commitments, shipments, and receipts are tracked separately.
Request stock at the destination
- Select the destination unit and open incoming transfers.
- Choose New Transfer Request.
- Select the source unit, add the required items, and enter quantities.
- Review item matches, packs, and available source quantities.
- Submit the request, or retain the shared draft while your team finishes it.
If the source belongs to another account, the source team can generate a Source Location Setup Code. Add that source with its code before selecting it. Share setup codes only with the trading team that should use that connection.
Fulfill at the source
- Open outgoing transfers and view the request.
- Accept the quantity you can fulfill, reject items you cannot supply, or amend the fulfillment item where allowed.
- Review committed or deducted quantities before shipping.
- Record the actual shipped quantities and complete the available shipping action.
Receive at the destination
Open the incoming transfer, compare the delivered goods with the shipment, and enter the actual received quantity. Use partial actions when only some stock arrives. Resolve item or pack mismatches before completing receipt.
Understand the stock effect
The workflow tracks the source commitment, physical stock leaving, stock in transit, and stock received. Review the displayed state before deducting or counting the same goods again. Stockroom issued commitments may already be reflected in physical stock.
Changes and cancellation
Use the available amendment or cancellation action and read its effect before confirming. Do not create a second transfer merely to change an existing request. Replacing or discarding a shared draft also affects other teammates using that draft.
Availability
Transfers apply to supported active LineNow-managed units. Dropship and ERP-owned Procure to Produce units do not use this local physical-transfer experience.
