Overview
Procure to Produce uses LineNow for purchasing while your ERP remains responsible for physical inventory, receiving, and costs. Use it when those operations already run in your ERP.
Before you start
Connect the supported ERP from Home. Make sure the account has access to the ERP location, vendors, and materials used by the business unit. An accounting connection alone does not establish ERP inventory ownership.
Set up the business unit
- Open Business Units and choose Add business unit.
- Select Procure to Produce and the ERP location.
- Import or connect the unit's suppliers to their ERP vendors.
- Import or map the purchasing items to ERP materials.
- Review requisitions or sourcing requests, then create the supplier PO in LineNow.
- Complete physical receiving and inventory corrections in your ERP.
Which actions belong where?
LineNow provides the purchasing workflow, including supplier communication, quote requests, requisitions, and order review. The ERP supplies the inventory information. LineNow's local counting, physical receiving, production, and transfer workflows do not apply to an ERP-owned unit.
Resolve a blocked ERP sync
- Open the PO and read the ERP sync blocked — needs review panel.
- Map the supplier to its ERP vendor and map each listed purchasing item. Map additional-cost names where the review requires them.
- Correct any provider rejection described in the panel.
- Choose Retry ERP sync after the mappings are complete.
Review the whole order before assuming that one correctly mapped item means the PO can sync. If a PO is cancelled in LineNow but its ERP cancellation fails, use the cancellation-review message to finish closing the ERP PO.
